OREANDA-NEWS. March 20, 2012. Another stage of STG’s project in Syria has been completed. Spare parts for the South Middle Area Gas Exploitation Project (SMAGEP) have been completely procured, which will ensure the facility’s safe operation.

Stroytransgaz had been fulfilling its warranty obligations under the contract for a year since the object was commissioned. Later, Stroytransgaz continued to provide the maintenance services to the facility at the request of the Syrian Gas Company.

“Despite the problems that the company faces currently we do not intend to cease the works in Syria. At present, Stroytransgaz continues to provide SMAGEP maintenance service and carries on the second plant construction. In Syria we have a special security system aimed at life and health safety of our employees. The Syrian part represented by the customer, Syrian Gas Company, and law enforcement authorities provides us with the most active support”, Sergey Makarov, Chairman of the Management Board of Stroytransgaz, pointed out.

Background
