OREANDA-NEWS. March 21, 2012. Some experts suggest that China ban the processing trade where manufacturers purchase offshore stainless steel as a raw material to make finished goods destined for the overseas market, in order to create an equal footing for all market players.

Currently, the manufactures are exempted from tariffs and VAT if they fulfill their export orders with stainless steel bought from abroad, compared to an 8 percent VAT levied on those who use domestic raw materials for further processing.
