OREANDA-NEWS. March 22, 2012. Ansteel successfully trail-produced ferrite stainless steel in plain carbon steel production line by means of top blowing converter process which not only filled the gap of stainless steel production by converter in Ansteel, but also successfully built up a new model of stainless steel and other high-alloy steel production, reported the press-centre of Ansteel.

At present, Ansteel has no complete conditions for the production of stainless steel. Therefore, it can’t make industrialized production. But the successful trail-production of ferrite stainless steel by means of top blowing converter broke through the conventional melting model of high-alloy content steel and had important leading significance in the converter melting history of high-alloy content steel.

Furthermore it also announces that Ansteel has taken the first step toward “Plain Carbon Steel Plant with the capacity of producing special steel” which has great significance for accelerating the adjustment of rolled steel product structure.
