OREANDA-NEWS. March 23, 2012. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) found that the Federal Tariff Service and the Regional Tariff Office of the Volgograd Regional Authority violated Part 1 Article 15 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”. Due to voluntary elimination of the violation, the case against the Tariff Office is terminated, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

FAS Russia received a petition from “Volgogradoblelektrosbyt” Ltd. (“VOES” Ltd.) regarding certain signs of antimonopoly violations in actions (omissions) of the authorities. The company’s proposals were not approved and included in the Consolidated Balance Forecast for production and supply of electric power within the Unified Energy System in the Volgograd region (Consolidated Balance Forecast) for 2010.

Failure to include “VOES” Ltd. in the Consolidated Balance Forecast for 2010 prevented Company’s access to the trading system the wholesale market of electric power and capacity and could have resulted in losing the status of the provider of last resort.
