It is understood that the contract represents the highest level of cooling wall manufacturing, reported the press-centre of Baosteel.

The FINEX hot metal production new technology is first designed by South Korea's POSCO. Compared with the traditional blast furnace-based hot metal production method, the FINEX production process has the advantage of simplicity, efficiency, cleanness and low energy consumption. Prior to this, the world's first FINEX cooling wall is made by South Korea's POSCO.

In recent years, Baosteel Casting continues to strengthen technological innovation and, on the basis of the long-term exploration and practice, forms the world's fourth-generation cooling wall manufacturing advanced technology with its own characteristics. Compared with similar technologies, the fourth generation cooling wall manufacturing technology has higher value/cost ratio. Especially, the cooling wall product lifetime is over 20 years, greatly improving the efficiency of blast furnace production.
