OREANDA-NEWS. March 30, 2012. Vale granted Usiminas Mecanica the Best Erection Service Provider award in the category Capital Goods Projects – 2011 for the works carried out in the Onca Puma Project. The awarding criterion was based on the Supplier Performance Index, which monitors the company’s results in the field of industrial erection services. It measures a number of parameters, especially work safety, service quality, compliance with time schedule, technique, management and ethics. The selection was split in five editions (four regional and one nationwide).

In this project, Usiminas Mecanica was in charge of the entire electromechanical and industrial building erection of Vale’s Smelting and Refinery plants.
