OREANDA-NEWS. April 02, 2012. The First vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Valeriy Khoroshkovskiy met with experts from technical assistance mission of the IMF.

Experts presented the main results work of the Mission, which is in Kyiv from 19 March to improve medium-term budget planning in Ukraine.

Special attention was paid to discussion of proposals for setting medium-term benchmark costs, changes in timing of the submission to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of budget documents for more complete consideration of macroeconomic indicators, and retained a reserve budget of 2-3% of total spending.

Valeriy Khoroshkovskiy also noted the need for continued work in this direction with the realities of the Ukrainian economy.

He said: "Ukraine - a country that is developing dynamically and therefore changes in economic conditions require a more flexible approach to budgeting. Over the past two years, the economy remains stable and adaptable to existing risks. This should be a positive signal to increase confidence in the Ukraine and see unfair assessment of risk of sovereign debt. "
