OREANDA-NEWS. April 02, 2012. The Government of Belarus adopted resolution #203 of March 2, 2012 to confirm 2012 state-guaranteed contracts for farm products. The government contract for grain has been upgraded 15.5% on the year to 1.184 million tonnes.

The state plans to purchase from farmers in 2012 as much as 630,000 tonnes of wheat (up 10.5%), 400,000 tonnes of rye (up 33.3%), 42,500 tonnes of barley, 32,000 tonnes of buckwheat, 53,500 tonnes of oats, 8,000 tonnes of peas, 6,000 tonnes of corn and 12,000 tonnes of millet, 3.68 million tonnes of beet root.

The contract for rapeseeds has been downsized by 27.3% to 280,000 tonnes.

The contract for brewer’s barley has also been downsized, by 29.2% to 150,000 tonnes.
