The high quality protection provided by Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 and Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Windows has been confirmed in a recent independent evaluation conducted by the AV-Test.org test lab. Following tests in January and February 2012, Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 once again came out on top, with 16 points from a possible 18. At the same time Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 earned the highest marks for protection against different kinds of malware.

Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows was by far the best performer in a monthly evaluation of business security solutions. It topped the rankings, scoring significantly more than the nearest competitor. It also achieved the highest score for protection and showed solid results for usability. In the remediation tests Kaspersky Lab’s solution successfully removed 92% of active malware components, which, once again, was the top result in this evaluation. The overall score – 16 points – is significantly higher than the industry average of 12.8 points.

Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 achieved a total of 16.5 points out of a possible 18, much higher than the average result of 13.7. It also had the highest possible detection rate, effectively blocking 100% of threats in sophisticated real-world testing. In the remediation tests Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 detected all 39 samples of active malware and removed the active components for 92% of infections (much better than the average result of 77%).
