OREANDA-NEWS. April 05, 2012. FAS Public Advisory Council held a meeting, where the Head of FAS Russia Igor Artemyev presented a report on the results of the work of the Antimonopoly Service and the objectives for 2012, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

Participants paid special attention to efficient cooperation between the Antimonopoly Service and entrepreneurial community, and initiatives towards improving the antimonopoly law. They also emphasized positive experience in organizing activities of the Antimonopoly Service as the achievement of the year – obtaining certification for compliance with an international quality management standard - ISO 9001-2008.

Members of FAS Public Advisory Council proposed to actively disseminate experience of the Antimonopoly Service on internal and public evaluation of the work of regulatory bodies, in particular, using the platform of the Coordination Committee of Public Councils at federal executive bodies.

The system of FAS public and expert councils comprises 25 Expert Councils on the key markets and areas of economic development and FAS Public Advisory Council with 82 Councils at FAS regional offices. Their efforts are based on effective cooperation with civil society for increasing performance of the antimonopoly bodies and creating conditions for developing healthy competition.
