OREANDA-NEWS. April 05, 2012. In March 2012, the Krasnoyarskaya mine operated by OJSC SUEK-Kuzbass launched longwall face No. 808 having a 3 mln tonne coal reserve.

This is the first longwall at the coal seam Polysayevsky 2. It replaces the Baikaimsky seam depleted by the Krasnoyarskaya mine and its coal has high level qualities: extractable thickness of 4.7 m, calorific value of 6,000 Gcal, ash content of less than 13%. There are plans to export most of the extracted fuel.

The new longwall is 220 m long and equipped with 129 upgraded mechanical supports DBT 2250/5500 (Germany). The maximum span of an extended support is 5.5 m, the distance between installed support sections is 1.75 m, their shift distance is 0.8 m. Longwall face No. 808 is also equipped with high-performance shearer ELECTRA-3000, longwall conveyor PF - 4/1032, handler PF-4/1132, impact roll crusher SK 11/11. All machines used in the mining system were manufactured by Deutsche Bergbau Technik (DBT).

A haulage system was set up and upgraded to mine the longwall; all in all more than 4 km of new belt conveyors 1,200 mm wide with 9 drive units were installed.

Given the rated capacity of longwall face No. 808 the experienced team of Oleg Kukushkin mining it may extract over 10,000 tonnes of coal per day.
