OREANDA-NEWS. April 05, 2012. The miner team led by Vladimir Ivanovich Berezovsky, a member of the Council of People's Deputies of the Kemerovo Region, mined the millionth tonne of coal since the year start at the Taldinskaya Zapadnaya-1 Mine operated by OJSC Suek-Kuzbass (with Mikhail Grigoryevich Lupiy as the director of the mine, and Sergey Dmitryevich Musokhranov as the terminal manager).

In 2012, these highly qualified professionals became the first "millionaire" team in the Siberian Coal Energy Company, across Kuzbass and in the entire coal industry of Russia. Moreover, the miners exceeded the target amount of coal by 287,000 tonnes.

This high output was achieved at longwall face No. 67-07. The working face terminal No. 1 operates the coal shearer SL-500 Eickhoff (Germany) using 173 DBT props (Germany) and a new longwall conveyor PF-4 Bursaries (Germany). This pit has already witnessed a few monthly output records since mid-August 2011 when mining started at this longwall face. By the year end of 2011 Vladimir Berezovsky's team produced 3,562,200 tonnes of coal - another record output at the Taldinskaya Zapadnaya-1 Mine.

The colliery is carrying out a grand-scale investment program to re-equip its coal extraction operations. This should substantially increase the coal face workload and improve miners occupational safety. At present, there is work underway to equip the next longwall face, No. 67-08. Unique for the coal industry of Russia, a powerful conveyor system with a belt 1,600 mm wide is being installed for coal haulage. The expected productivity of the new haulage system is 3,500 tonnes per hour.
