OREANDA-NEWS. April 05, 2012. In March 2012, the Vostochno-Beyskiy open-pit mine put into operation two new 130 t BelAZ trucks. Accordingly, the fleet of 130-tonne trucks expanded to 9 units. One 130-tonne truck substitutes two 55-tonne BelAZ trucks reducing haulage time, fuel and lubricant consumption, number of spare parts, man hours required for transporting the same amount of coal or rock. As a result, a single 130-tonne dump truck annually saves 32 mln roubles for the open-pit mine.

"Re-equipment is still underway at VBR," said Alexey Keelin, the executive director of LLC  SUEK-Khakassia, "and introduction of new vehicles enables us to dispose of the 55-tonne dump trucks whose rated service life has expired. "Two of those have been disposed of already, two more will be transferred to Chernogorsk open-pit mine." Over the years of operation the 130-tonne BelAZ trucks have shown outstanding performance and high efficiency.

With the undercarriages of new dump trucks their payload is used 100% at overburden removal operations. When hauling coal the vehicle carries 2.2 times more load than 55-tonne BelAZ trucks, with the payload being around 92 to 95 tonnes depending on the seam. Moreover, the new BelAZ trucks boast high mechanical reliability of assemblies.
