OREANDA-NEWS. April 05, 2012. On March 21, at terminal No. 3 of the Severnaya mine the team led by Nickolai Chistik produced the 1 millionth tonne of coal since the beginning of the year. It is the 2nd million across Russia and within SUEK produced from a single face this year.

Nickolai Chistik's stoping team (with Alexei Nesterenko as the terminal manager) began working the longwall face No. 26/3 along seam B-26 in October 2011.

The longwall is 250 m long, with the shaft to mine being 3,560 m long. The longwall reserves amount to 3,6 mln tonnes with the seam thicknes of 3.1 m.

Between October 2011 when the longwal was commissioned and the New Year the team achieved initial results indicating the probability of a large output: they delivered 1,020,000 tonnes of coal.

The working face of the mine is equipped with high-performance machinery comprising mechanised support system Glinik 15/32, shearer SL-300 and haulage system PF|4-1132.

Striving on to achieve new results and a new milestone, the miners of Uralugol made a commitment to win their 2nd million, which the colliery team expects to deliver this June.
