OREANDA-NEWS. April 06, 2012. Shareholders of TKB have approved the performance results of 2011. Last year the Bank increased its capital, the growth saw also the amount of deposits with TKB and number of customers, reported the press-centre of Trasta Komercbanka.

In 2011, TKB made investments in its future by evolving services and expanding its geography. Last year, TKB significantly increased its capital (by 7.5 million lats), providing opportunities for future development. The Bank's subordinated capital increased by 3 million lats. The volume of attracted deposits with Trasta komercbanka last year increased by 41%.

The growth in Bank’s customer base in 2011 amounted to 15%. Diana Gerica, Head of Customer Services Department noted: "The increase in customer base is mostly based on recommendations of customers and partners of Trasta komercbanka. Consequently, the rapid dynamics of new customer acquisition can be regarded as a positive assessment of Bank’s activities by its existing customers”.

Last year the amount of Trasta komercbanka’s assets reached 296.9 million lats, which is by 78.1 million lats more than at the end of 2010. The volume of assets under management grew almost twice (by 97%). Bank`s net interest income in 2011 increased by 9%, but its net commission income - by 5%. In 2011, Bank's losses amounted to LVL 1.7 million, which is by LVL 2.6 million less than in 2010. The accumulated retained profit of previous years in the amount of LVL 18 million provided Trasta komercbanka with an opportunity to continue the implementation of its development strategy, where the cornerstone is not cutting of spending, but making investments in Bank's future. The development of Bank’s services was supported by investments, staff in the Trasta komercbanka was increased, the Bank’s geography was expanded by opening a representative office in Hong Kong.

In 2012, TKB is planning to continue providing its customers with new opportunities for business development in the world regions with a high potential for economic growth, to create new products and offers for management of customers’ capital, including in the sphere of investment services and trust management operations.
