OREANDA-NEWS. April 06, 2012. Proceeding with the open lectures tradition, on March 31 the SKOLKOVO business-school holds a meeting with Doug Menuez, documentary photographer. More than 5000 people have visited the SKOLKOVO business-school open lectures during a year.

On the upcoming Saturday SKOLKOVO invites everybody to the Doug Menuez’s lecture. In 1980-1990s Mr. Menuez has run one of the longest projects in the history of photography – he documented the rise of the US Silicon Valley. Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, John Warnock, Carol Bartz, Andy Grove, John Sculley, Bill Joy, and John Doerr took part in the unprecedented experiment. Having been a backstage witness, Doug Menuez has captures one of the most significant period for the USA in particular and the whole world.

Fearless Genius: the Digital Revolution in Silicon Valley 1985–2000 is a large multi-media project of Doug Menuez. Moscow is the first city where the photos will be exhibited within Photobiennale 2012. At the SKOLKOVO business-school lecture Mr. Menuez will present a video-installation of the photos.

All the attendees will have an unprecedented chance to learn first-hand how brilliant ideas were born, how the chancy decisions were made and multimillion-dollar contracts were conducted. As well as about the heat of emotions and pure adrenaline, colossal risk and mind-boggling triumphs that have largely determined our personal and professional lives.
