OREANDA-NEWS. April 06, 2012. Shanghai Vice-Mayer Yang Xiong announced the inauguration of “Shanghai International Shipping Service Center” (SISSC). SIPG Chairman  Chen Xuyuan, President Zhuge Yujiei Yan Jun, heads of Shanghai Customs, CIQ, and related officials attended the opening ceremony, reported the press-centre of SISSC.  
 
In his remarks delivered at the spot, Mr. Chen Xuyuan highlighted SISSC’s function as an integration of port, shipping, and cargo by consolidating related government units such as Customs, CIQ, and BMA as well as Shanghai Shipping Exchange, Insurance Companies, and legal consultancies. More convenient, economic, and efficient one-stop services will be provided to customers at SISSC after its opening.
 
Echoing with Lujiazui Financial Area at the opposite side of Huangpu River, SISSC rolls out its landscape right on The North Bund. The newly-born CBD has been expected to boost synergy between different parties in the industry and enhance Shanghai’s status as International shipping Center.
