OREANDA-NEWS. April 09, 2012. The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and the Ministry of Agriculture (MOA) earmarked a fund of 24.3 million yuan (USD 3.9 million) for the establishment of organizations designed to check and test quality and safety standards of agricultural products.

The fund will be used to set up six county-level safety monitoring stations for agro-products and a quality and safety inspection center in cities of Wuhu, Anqing and Huangshan.

Prior to the move, the NDRC and MOA had appropriated 163 million yuan for the founding of a provincial-level quality control center for agricultural products and 51 county-level ones in Anhui.
