OREANDA-NEWS. April 10, 2012.  CPI hit 3.3% in March, 0.4 percentage points higher than that in February and 0.3 percentage points lower than national average level, according to the statistics released by Anhui Investigation Team of National Bureau of Statistics.

Compared with that in the same period last year, all the prices of 8 categories hiked, of which food price increased by 6.8%, 2.21 percentage points contributing to CPI. Vegetable price surged 23.8% and meat price hiked 8.2%.

Affected by warm weather, clothes price and entertainment price increased gradually. Clothes price increased by 3.2% year on year.

In addition, rising oil prices played a key role in CPI, the transport cost edged up 0.7% from a year earlier.
