OREANDA-NEWS. April 11, 2012. Tata Power, India's largest integrated power utility, has been driving energy conservation awareness across the country through various initiatives. In another such initiative, Tata Power’s Jojobera plant employees conducted a special campaign at Bara Flat and Vijya Gardens, Baridih, Jojobera, for residents to increase awareness on energy conservation.

During the campaign, Tata Power employees distributed informative pamphlets on energy conservation to the residents and also demonstrated how water and energy can be saved in day-to-day activities.

Speaking on the initiative, Dinesh Kudalkar, general manager, Jojobera thermal power station, Tata Power, said, “We are delighted by the positive response garnered for our initiative towards creating awareness about energy conservation. Such initiatives are very important to help people understand that small steps on their part can help make a huge difference to the environment. We appreciate and thank the employees who have participated in making this campaign a huge success.”

A large number of technicians and officers from the Jojobera power plant participated in the event and contributed to the campaign. The feedback received from the residents of these societies suggested that such initiatives are indeed beneficial and informative in nature and should be carried out more often.
