Belarus’ average wage in nominal terms reached 2,964,200 Belarusian rubles (Br) in February 2012, or USD 357.6 at the monthly average rate of the National Bank (Br8,288.8/USD 1), up 2.9% month-on-month, an official with the National Statistics Committee told reporters.

In real terms [adjusted for the increase in the consumer prices], the average monthly wage went up 1.4% on the month. In January-February 2012, the average wage decreased 1.5% on the year in real terms.

In manufacturing, monthly wages averaged 3.818 million rubles, in construction 2.951 million rubles, in transport and telecoms 3.491 million rubles, in agriculture 1.995 million rubles.
