OREANDA-NEWS. April 16, 2012. Mosmetrostroy has completed the tunneling of the 320 m section of the Zamoskvoretskaya line Krasnogvardeyskaya—Alma-Atinskaya stations left span, reported the press-centre of Mosmetrostroy.

The tunneling performed using the closed method with TBM “Herrenknecht” started on January, 30 and was finished with the TBM coming out to the reception shaft near Klyuchevaya street for disassembly on April, 8. The average driving rate has amounted to 8 rings p/day (1 ring—1.2 m). The progress rate is to be recognized as high due to the complicated hydrogeological conditions of the site. The TBM is being disassembled at the moment to be further erected again and taken to the starting shaft to perform the right span heading.

Another TBM involved into Alma-Atinskaya station project is “Lovat”, performing 650m tunnel drivage from Proektiruemiy passage to Krasnogvardeyskaya station turn-around stub-tracks. The drivage started in the mid January with 510m completed and 140m left.

Meanwhile, the construction works of the station arch are being held. One third of the station has already been concreted using the sliding form for single-vaulted stations construction. The under—and above-ground halls, railway substation and turn-around stub tracks construction works are also being underway.

The plot commissioning is projected in the late 2012.
