OREANDA-NEWS. April 18, 2012. Kazakhmys group continues implementation of a large-scale program of re-equipment of the mining production. In 2011 the company invested around USD140 m in purchasing modern equipment, reported the press-centre of KASE.

Great attention was paid to buying auxiliary equipment for setting and making safe mining pits,  including roof scalers, scissor lifts, charging machines. In general, over 160 auxiliary equipment units were purchased for distribution to all production sites of Kazakhmys.

In investment program for 2012 over USD262 are earmarked for further re-equipment. In particular, 40 units of main technological equipment and 35 roof scalers will be purchased to cover the needs of Zhezkazgan division.
