OREANDA-NEWS. April 18, 2012. South Korea invites Ukraine to take part in the Doing Business project. This was discussed during the meeting of delegations of Justice Ministries of Ukraine and the Republic of Korea which was held at the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.

The project was initiated in 2002 within the Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation and devoted to evaluation of regulations governing activity of the national small and medium enterprises worldwide. Currently it is planned the involvement in the project of countries are not party to specified organization, including Ukraine.

As the Minister of Justice of Ukraine Oleksandr Lavrynovych has informed, the meeting was initiated by the Korean party which expresses its hope that Ukraine will take part in the above-mentioned project.

During the meeting, the representative of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Korea, prosecutor Sungmo Ku has delivered a presentation on the Doing Business project.

On behalf of the Korean party the prosecutor passed an offer to Ukraine to take part in the Doing Business project. In this context, there has also been voiced the initiative to enhance cooperation between the judicial authorities of Ukraine and the Republic of Korea.

According to the Minister of Justice of Ukraine, now the presentational materials on the purpose of activities and analysis of 10-year experience of the project activity have been submitted for acquaintance to the Ukrainian party.

For reference. Implementation of the Doing Business project has been launched in 2002 to establish an objective basis for understanding and improvement of legal regulation of business activity worldwide.
