OREANDA-NEWS. April 18, 2012. In the middle of March, Wisco newly developed high strength high tenacity structural steel 1000MPa was endorsed by a domestic leading engineering machinery manufacturer. Both sides signed a contract of nearly one thousand tons, reported the press-centre of Wisco.

High strength high tenacity structural steel 1000MPa is mainly used for large scale engineering vehicle. In recent years, components for engineering pump trucks and locomotive jibs demand more and more strictly on high tenacity matching with high strength structural steel. Taken safety during equipment using into consideration, there occurs more needs for this steel by engineering machinery manufacturing industry home and abroad.

Wisco R&D Center made repeatedly trial production and research, and finally developed the steel sample. Then, Wisco R&D Center united group Manufacturing Department, Steelmaking Plant and Hot Rolling Plant, succeeded in producing high strength high tenacity structural steel 1000MPa in January, 2012. It only took 3 months from developing to putting into production for 1000MPa.
