OREANDA-NEWS. April 18, 2012. General Director of JSC “KES”, Evgeny Olkhovik, and First Deputy General Director – Commercial Director, Executive Director of Business Unit 1 of JSC “E4 Group”, Alexandr Umrikhin, have signed an EPC contract for the Izhevskaya Thermal Power Plant-1 reconstruction project.  According to the agreement achieved, the Contractor`s scope of works will include the required documentation development, construction and erection works on all the facilities and structures, supply of the whole auxiliary equipment package, commissioning, participation in the plant startup and certification of the generating equipment. The trial run of the renovated plant is scheduled for December 31, 2013, the capacity testing procedure is to be held by July 1, 2014.

“In order to understand the importance of Izhevskaya Thermal Power Plant-1 in the town infrastructure, it is fair to say that it covers most of the large industrial enterprises of the region. Moreover, it supplies heat and hot water to one third part of Izhevsk, where over 200 thousand people reside.  Therefore, the Izhevskaya Thermal Power Plant modernization is an extremely important project for us. By implementing it we will be able to increase the installed output of the plant, to increase the power generating potential of Udmurtia in general, as well as to decommission the obsolete equipment and to increase efficiency and reliability of heat and electricity generation. We know E4 Group as a reliable and experienced partner which has necessary expertise and competence, so I am sure that we will manage to implement the project timely and with the required quality, - said First Deputy General Director of JSC ‘KES”, Adnrey Vagner.

According to First Deputy General Director – Commercial Director, Executive Director of Business Unit 1 of JSC “E4 Group”, Alexandr Umrikhin, E4 Group is ready to commence implementing the project as soon as possible and to execute the whole package of the EPC works in compliance with the schedule.

The Izhevskaya Thermal Power Plant-1 reconstruction project is a part of the priority investment program of KES-Holding, and it includes the installation of a 160 MW Gas Turbine Unit GTU-160 manufactured by JSC “Power Machines”, heat recovery steam generator manufactured by EMAliance, and a 75 MW T-75 steam turbine manufactured by the Ural Turbine Plant. By now, a construction site has already been prepared, and the contracts for the main equipment supply have been concluded.
