OREANDA-NEWS. April 19, 2012. The share of OJSC KAMAZ on the Russian market of 14-40t GVW trucks in the 1st quarter of 2012 increased by 5% against the same period of 2011 and made 44%.

These figures were based on the data provided by auto producers and the Federal Customs Service of Russia. To add to this, the increase in KAMAZ’s sales is much higher than the overall growth of the Russian market of heavy-duty vehicles. This was achieved due to the measures the company and its distribution network took to meet the increased demand for trucks.

According to KAMAZ’s customers, their choice is associated, to a large extent, with the improved performance of KAMAZ trucks. An important factor of the growth in demand for KAMAZ trucks is the updated lineup and redesigned trucks equipped with Cummins engines, ZF gearboxes, updated and radically improved cabs brought to market.

Long-term cooperation of the company with its corporate clients has a positive effect on its trucks sales too. The activity of the distribution network enabled the Kama automobile giant to take the lead over its competitors and maintain its leadership position in the truck market. Thanks to collaboration with special equipment manufacturers, KAMAZ has increased its share in the segment of chassis and special equipment: two of three heavy truck chassis sold on the Russian market are made by OJSC KAMAZ.
