Universities including Capital University of Economic and Business (CUEB) and Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE) released a survey on annual city consumption power of Chinese mainland cities, showing that Anhui came 14th, on 382.7 billion yuan (USD 60.7 billion).

Guangdong province claimed the top with CCP worth 1.3 trillion yuan, followed by Jiangsu and Shandong, each on 1.04 trillion and 1.002 trillion yuan.

In the central China region, Anhui took the 4th place. The first place went to Henan province, on 784.1 billion yuan.
