OREANDA-NEWS. April 20, 2012. Ingosstrakh Insurance Company became the General Partner of Hinode 2012 Festival organized by Japan House (http://www.hinode.asia/), which took place in Moscow in Izmaylovo Concert Hall with the support of the Japanese Embassy in the Russian Federation. The festival of this kind is held in Russia for the first time, reported the press-centre of Ingosstrakh.

The event included a try out for the participation in the grand Japanese World Cosplay Summit (WCS). The winners of the Russian Cosplay Festival were awarded with the opportunity to visit Japan and contend with the strongest cosplayers of the world at WCS-2012.

The organizers of the Russian contest managed to set up a real fancy celebration inspired by Japanese anime and manga. The participants showed their mastery in traditional contests: cosplay performances, cosplay defile, karaoke, Asia Music Dance, photo-cosplay, and a non-competition program.

The jury, a part of which was the Chairman of Ingosstrakh Insurance Company Board of Directors, Professor O. Vikhansky, chose the winners. In addition to other prizes, the winners were awarded with certificates for insurance policies from Ingosstrakh Insurance Company for a trip to Japan with the coverage amounting to 50,000 USD.

Along with a spectacular cosplay show and valuable prizes, the participants and viewers witnessed an unforgettable concert by Yamaha, a laser show, lotteries and contests, workshops on Japanese classic arts, etc.

World Cosplay Summit was organized by “Aichi Terebi TV Broadcasting Company”. Since 2003, it has been held in Nagoya attracting more and more participants from every part of the world yearly. At present, this is a holiday of a global level drawing the attention of international cosplayers.

On the days of the Summit, hundreds of favorite anime and manga characters parade down the red carpet in Nagoya streets – this is the famous cosplay procession which has become the destination of dreams of any cosplayer in the world. This year, participants from 20 countries of the world will visit WCS, and  the representatives of the Russian Federation will be among them for the first time.
