OREANDA-NEWS. April 20, 2012. 40 young specialists working for SDS Azot (a part of the Joint Stock Holding Company SDS) and students of Kemerovo universities presented their projects devoted to the development of chemical technologies, management system and production to the experts on the annual research and practice conference "Ideas. Innovations. Technologies" last week in Sheregesh.

For the third time the research and practice conference "Ideas. Innovations. Technologies", which is held on the initiative of Kemerovo JSC Azot, gathers young specialists of the company  SDS Azot, students of Kuzbass State Technical University and Kemerovo Institute of food-processing industry and the representatives of Kuzbass scientific school. It is one of the key events of the program which includes the interaction of the biggest Siberian chemical enterprise with the universities, development and reinforcement of the human resource of the company.

Works in different spheres viz. energy supply, automatics, logistics and personnel management etc. were presented to the expert board, which included the management of the company and the plant, scientists working at technical universities (the academic advisers of inventors and innovators, who are already working and the innovators-to-be).

Ilya Kostenkov, former participant of Azot's research program, current foreman of the production unit, have gained a lead. 90,000 rubles grant will allow him to continue his education, a step forward towards knowledge and skills of a professional engineer. 50,000 and 40,000 rubles education grants were given to three more chemists. Other participants - students, young plant workers and their academic advisers are already thinking of the objects of their future works, and the company and the plant management are thinking of the ways of implementation of the offered projects within the plant.

Chemists from Angarsk city (JSC Azotno-Tukoviy zavod, part of SDS-Azot) have participated at the Conference for the first time. The development of low-density ammonium nitrate production, which is the core product of the plant, is one of the most important issues that have impact on chemistry future in Siberia.

Participants and experts have the same feelings - the Conference was a success. Next year with the help of the Joint Stock Holding Company SDS management the organizers plan to invite its other companies. This will allow to increase the number of participants, as well as the number of practical ideas and offers to implement at the company's plants.
