OREANDA-NEWS. April 23, 2012. The Finance Minister of Ukraine Yuriy Kolobov is in London (UK) where takes part at the Eighth Annual Ukrainian Investment Summit.

Senior governments of the world, representatives of major world financial institutions and businesses during the Summit are discussing the current macroeconomic situation, prospects and risks of financial development, as well as components of investment attractiveness of Ukraine.

Priority purpose of the Ukrainian Investment Summit conducting is to improve Ukraine's investment attractiveness in the international arena. Within the framework of event there are being conducted debates of institutional investors and discussions of the most promising sectors for foreign investments and opportunities for successful investment in Ukraine.

Addressing with a speech at the this event, Finance Minister of Ukraine Yuriy Kolobov has assured international strategic investors that the Ministry of Finance is systematically implementing measures to support the sustainability of public finances, which contributes to confident economic growth in Ukraine.

Yuriy Kolobov also drew attention of international businesses into new financial instruments have been offered by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, namely government bonds denominated in the currency and government bonds indexed to the U.S. dollar exchange rate.

This event is important for the successful implementation of a balanced debt strategy of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine and strengthening Ukraine's stand in international capital markets.

Members of the Ukrainian party use this unique opportunity to meet with their foreign counterparts to discuss professional issues and to establish further fruitful cooperation.

Recall, the budget deficit fell 2.7 times last year and reached a record low indicator in recent years (1.8% of GDP).

Today the event is the largest global investment conference on investment in Ukraine. First Ukrainian Investment Summit was held in 1995.
