OREANDA-NEWS. April 23, 2012. PJSC “ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih” announced its March 2012 production results, reported the press-centre of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih.

Average salary at the enterprise in March 2012 reached 5 019,8 UAH (comparing with 4 306,9 UAH in March 2011).

Paramjit Kahlon, Chief Operating Officer, PJSC “ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih”: “In Q1 2012, though there is increase in rolled products’ production slightly over 5% y-o-y basis as compared to Q1 2011 yet production in Q1 was low as compared to business plan due to extremely cold winter in February which posed tough situation in terms of lack of scrap and challenges with logistics. However despite of these factors some major projects were completed. In March a twin-heart furnace was restarted after the repair that lasted 13 days. Capital repair of sinter machine No6 at sinter shop No1 is continuing and is scheduled to be finished in May. Following a series of sinter machines capital repairs in 2011 and current repairs that are being carried out in 2012, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih has ensured steady provision of the necessary volume of the sinter feed in March. As a result since the mid of March blast furnace 9 is producing about 8,500 tons per day and BF-8 near 5000 tons per day of hot metal, which is a record in last one & half year”.
