OREANDA-NEWS. April 24, 2012. Ratification of an agreement on FTA creation within the CIS framework will allow Ukraine to diversify gas supplies. In particular, Ukraine will be able to directly buy up gas from Turkmenistan and seamlessly transporting one via Russian GTS. The Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said this in the "Big Politics" TV program.

"This agreement enables us to pump Turkmen gas through Russian pipe. In other words it gives us the opportunity to diversify gas supplies to Ukraine," said Prime Minister. At this he stressed that under current conditions, Ukraine has no such possibility because of Russia’s disagreement.
