OREANDA-NEWS. April 24, 2012. Sberbank's Internet-Bank for individuals, Sberbank Online, is on the top of the list in Internet Banking Rank 2012, a rating based on a comprehensive research of Russian Internet bank services offered by major Russian banks. The rating reflects the tasks’ difficulty that individual clients of banks can perform by using the Internet bank system as well as the thorough nature of the solution and convenience in dealing with these tasks, reported the press-centre of Sberbank.

Sberbank Online is the only system ranked A which means the Internet Bank is a fully functional replacement of a bank's branch and implements features that usually require a visit to a bank's branch (such as payments, transfers, loan repayment, deposits, a loan application, card blocking etc.).

The Sberbank Online service is available to all clients that own international bank cards from Sberbank. One only needs Internet access to use it. The login and password can be received at any self-service terminal of Sberbank.

“Currently, there are over 3 mln. Sberbank Online users, their number continues growing, – Viktor Orlovsky, Senior Vice-President of Sberbank of Russia, points out. – This serves as direct proof of the high quality of service we offer. We continuously work to develop this system in order to offer our clients best-quality and innovative services”.

The rating is prepared and published by Markswebb Rank & Report. The approach taken to determine individual clients' needs involved three stages such as an online survey of 400 users of Russian Internet banks, a focus group made up of users of Russian Internet banks, and expert assessment.

Accounts were opened in 30 member banks to calculate the rating based on identical initial conditions during the completion of check lists in all 30 Internet banks: a debit card was issued, access to the Internet bank was enabled for payments and transfers, an amount of up to 5,000 rubles was deposited in the account, and test transactions were made.
