OREANDA-NEWS. April 25, 2012. On the first "Sino-Japan Governors Forum" held in Japan, a series of economic trade exchanges were launched in Japan on April 16. A meeting on economic trade cooperation organized by Anhui delegation was held and a number of important cooperation achievements were reached.

466 Janpanese enterprises and over 700 business representatives from the circle of politics, industry, commerce and finance attended the meeting. Governor Li Bin addressed the audience at the meeting. Directors from the Department of Commerce and the Department of Tourism recommended the investment projects and tourism itineraries of Anhui. A framework agreement on strengthening promoting industries and enterprises service was signed between the Department of Commerce and the Organization of Promoting Japan-China Investment.

A cooperation framework agreement was signed by the Association on Trade Promotion of Anhui, the Organization of Promoting Japan-China Investment and the Japan-China Economic Association. 41 cooperation projects with an investment of 2.19 billion dollars were signed by enterprises of Anhui including Conch Group, Chery Company and Bengbu Design & Research Institute for Glass Industry of CTIEC (China Triumph International Engineering Co.) and Japanese enterprises including Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Fujitsu and Mitsubishi Corporation.

As an important part of the event, exchanges with key Japan economic organizations were conducted by Anhui delegation. On the afternoon of April 16, Governor Li Bin met with Yohei Kono, President of Japanese Association for the Promotion of International Trade. Li hopes that the association will organize Japanese entrepreneurs to visit Anhui, know more about Anhui and invest in Anhui. On the morning of April 17, Li Bin met with Yokoo Hidehiro, Vice President of Japan External Trade Organization, the unique trade promotion organization of Japanese Government. A permanent cooperation stage will be built and more economic trade activities will be co-organized, said Li Bin and Yokoo Hidehiro.

Anhui delegation also had wide exchanges with Japanese enterprises. Li Bin had talks with executives of Hitachi, Fujitsu, Mitsubishi Corporation, Kao, Marubeni, Mizuho Financial Group and the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ. Some of the enterprises intended to expand their business in Anhui and strengthen their cooperation in electronic information, equipment manufacturing, environmental protection, energy conservation and new materials. Mizuho Financial Group and the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ said they will speed up to establish financial branches in Anhui and organize their customers to invest in Anhui.

Governor Li introduced Anhui's advantageous investment environment during her visit. Anhui's location, resource and market have attracted more and more domestic and overseas industries. As the second largest country investing in Anhui and the third top trade partner of Anhui, over 400 enterprises from Japan have had invesment in Anhui such as Hitachi and Toshiba. She hopes that the bilateral cooperations will be further expanded and more industrial cooperation level will be upgraded. She also indicated that Anhui will provide higher quality service for Japanese investors.
