OREANDA-NEWS. April 26, 2012. In the Small Hall of the Odessa City Council was signed a second contract with the World Bank amounting to more than 25 million dollars. The Municipal Enterprise "Agency of development programs in Odesa" within the project "Development of urban infrastructure", which is implemented together with the World Bank and the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine, will receive the funds for construction and reconstruction of the two sewerage-pressure stations.

In March of this year, Odessa has already signed a contract to reconstruct the area of deep tunnel sewer of deep bedding. In total, after signing the third contract for the construction of pressure piping, which is expected in May, the total amount of credit provided by the World Bank to Odesa exceeds 45 million dollars. This is very advantageous as the loan term is 20 years and the interest rate not exceed in the next few years one percent per annum.

"Odessa is one of the largest recipients of World Bank under the project "Development of urban infrastructure". Problems in water supply and sanitation system, with thermal networks are felt particularly acutely. After all, most of these systems were laid already in the existing dense historic buildings, which left its imprint on the system for the city. For their part, I pay attention Odessa colleagues to coordinate communication with project participants at the local level and the need to complete the planned work, given the importance to society, in 2013"- the national coordinator of the project "Development of urban infrastructure" Oleksandr Alipov said during the signing of contracts.
