OREANDA-NEWS. April 26, 2012. Port Vysotsky put into operation the fifth hydraulic mobile harbor crane Mantsinen 120R HybriLift manufactured in Finland. The crane was purchased for unloading coal from railcars, the stevedore company said. Another crane of the same class will be delivered to Vysotsk in late May 2012.

Port Vysotsky LLC CEO Vadim Pavlov says the machines have proved its reliability and high performance, but its safe operation as well helping to reduce significantly the percentage of damaged railcars. Today, the Vysotsky terminals operate only this class machines for handling coal.

Port Vysotsky LLC operating the coal terminal specializes in handling the commodity exported to Western Europe. In 2011, coal throughput at the facility was 3.2 million tons. In December 2010, the stevedore company completed dredging of the harbor and approach channel to the 12.7-m depth mark. The channel has now 200 m in width. Maximum draft of vessels was increased from 9,3 m to 11,9 m. This enables access of 45,000DWT bulkers to the coal terminal.
