OREANDA-NEWS. April 28, 2012. The installation was put into service. Engaged in its assembly and commissioning were representatives of the manufacturer company Hydropath Holdings Ltd (UK), reported the press-centre of TGC-13.

Aquaklear system usage is aimed at energy efficiency enhancement, reduction of operational expenditures on having the condenser tubes inner surface cleaned of mineral sediments and overall improvement of the power unit technical and economic performance.

The device is installed on the turbine condenser cooling water pipelines and is meant to prevent formation of sediments in the condenser tubes. This will promote heat exchange improvement as well as reduction of frequency of outages required for the condenser cleaning and, consequently, of cleaning expenditures.

Currently, Aquaklear system is in trial operation. If the positive effect is confirmed one plans to install this equipment at the other power units.

Aquaklear operation technology has been developed and patented in the UK. It relies on a cutting-edge physicochemical know-how based on action of variable frequency electromagnetic pulses. The microprocessor-controlled high-frequency oscillation generator creates in the tube a secondary field with “standing wave” effect. The field inhibits growth of sediments preventing deposition of salts and organic substances on the pipe walls. Instead, they are removed from the system with water flow in the form of suspended micro-crystals.

“Siberian Generating Company” group including JSC “Kuzbassenergo” (TGC-12) and JSC “Yenisei TGC (TGC-13)” is engaged in production and sales of electric and thermal energy, additionally providing for heat supply. The group of companies carry out their activities within the Kemerovo Region, the Altai and Krasnoyarsk Territories and the Republic of Khakassia. In the total generation volume of the integrated power system of Siberia, LLC “SGC” accounts for a portion amounting to approximately 20%. The main fuel is coal. The main end market is the wholesale electric power market. Currently, the company is implementing a large-scale investment program within the framework of power supply contracts, the program cost amounting to approximately 78 bln RUB.
