OREANDA-NEWS. May 11, 2012. May 11, 2012, Astana will witness the Panel Discussion focused on public service rendering. As part of the assignment of the Head of State dated September 26, 2011 No.2155-109, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Kazakhstan developed the draft Law “On Public Services”. The law is aimed to improve public services and raise public awareness on the public services rendered.

The matters on further improvement and increase in the quality of the services provided will be discussed within the framework of this event. Furthermore, the UNDP has invited an international expert to review international experience in rendering public services and examine the Concept and draft Law “On Public Services”. A separate session will be dedicated to the collaboration with the civilian sector when assessing and monitoring the rendering public services.

The Panel Discussion is arranged under the joint project of the UN Development Programme, the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Kazakhstan aimed to improve the system of assessment and enhance the accountability of the state authorities.

The participants of the Panel Discussion are as follows: Executive Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade Dina Shazhenova, Chairman of the Agency of Kazakhstan for Civil Service Affairs Alikhan Baymenov, Vice-Ministers of Labor and Social Protection, Healthcare, Education, Transport and Communications.
