OREANDA-NEWS. May 14, 2012. The first stone was solemnly grounded during the ceremony dedicated to the construction of a new combined-cycle power plant for Izhevskaya Thermal Power Plant 1, which will be constructed by E4 Group upon the order of JSC “KES”. The project includes the construction of a 230 MW combined-cycle power unit. The installed electric capacity of Izhevskaya Thermal Power Plant 1 will be increased 4 times (from 69 MW to 290 MW) after the project implementation, and it will allow decommissioning the out-of-date generating equipment, reducing the specific fuel consumption by 50% and increasing the whole plant efficiency. The estimated budget of the project is RUB 10.3 billion (including VAT). The combined-cycle power plant commissioning is scheduled for December 2013.

E4 Group will fulfill the complete works package including the required documentation development, construction and erection works, supply of the complete auxiliary equipment package, commissioning works, as well as it will take part in the plant startup and the power generating equipment testing.

It is to say that KES-Holding and E4 Group signed an EPC contract for the reconstruction of Izhevskaya Thermal Power Plant 1 on April 9, 2012.
