OREANDA-NEWS. May 15, 2012. On May, 2010 Valentina Ulich, Deputy Head of the Republic of Karelia and Minister of Health and Social Development of the Republic of Karelia, met with the official representative of the Ministry of Children, Equality and Social Inclusion of Norway Pal Christian Bergstrom.

Deputy Minister Svetlana Antokhina on the part of Russia and Professor of the University of Tromso Willy-Tore Morch on the part of Norway have taken part in the meeting.

Practical issues of cooperation between Karelia and Norway in the sphere of social development, including within the programs of Children and Youth at Risk, Increadible Years and Aggression Replacement Training (ART) focused on development of modern technologies of social work with families and children were discussed at the meeting.

Fruitful cooperation between Karelia and Norway was established more than ten years ago. Having pointed out positive results of joint activities, the parties have expressed an opinion on the necessity to continue their cooperation.

Within the scope of his trip to Petrozavodsk, Pal Christian Bergstrom visited the Sampo Center of Public Assistance to Families and Children of the republic where a conversation with experts concerning day-to-day work within the Increadible Years program took place.
