OREANDA-NEWS. May 16, 2012. The Danish airline Cimber Sterling (formerly known as Cimber Air) has filed for bankruptcy. Although Cimber Sterling has not removed its flights from booking systems (referring the flights are still operated), the customers should consider the possibility of cancellation of Cimber Sterling flights, reported the press-centre of Estonian Air.

Passengers who have bought their tickets on Cimber Sterling flights from Estonian Air, will be refunded by Estonian Air. Customers who have bought their tickets on Cimber Sterling flights from travel agency should contact the agency respectively.

Cimber Sterling was flying with 19 aircraft into more than 50 destinations and was important partner for SAS in serving domestic and regional routes.

Estonian Air recommends to take travel interruption insurance, which has also additional protection against insolvency of transportation company.
