OREANDA-NEWS. May 22, 2012.  An infrastructure development in Ukraine will be extended after Euro 2012 as well. This was stressed by Prime Minister Mykola Azarov during a meeting with Secretary General of the International Civil Aviation Organization Raymond Benjamin.

Mykola Azarov emphasized within the framework of Ukraine's preparations to host European Football Championships in 2012 within two years in Ukraine have been constructed a lot of major infrastructure projects. In particular, in all four host cities that was built up modern airports: runways and new terminals. Prime Minister stressed such an infrastructure development in Ukraine is only the beginning of great work in this area. "Football Championship will have been held. But we continue to build modern airports, we must surely develop air links," he said.

In turn, Secretary General of the International Civil Aviation Organization Raymond Benjamin pointed out that in a difficult economic situation Ukraine has invested substantial funds in building airports that deserves appreciation. He also pointed to the need of development of commercial activities, including retail chain at terminals for returning investments.
