OREANDA-NEWS. May 28, 2012. ROSATOM has launched a new service, i.e. an information application for Android- and iOS-based smartphones. It is in Russian and English and is already accessible via Google Play and App Store. On the first day already, a number of users who downloaded the application in the Android Market exceeded 1,000 people.

The application allows viewing nuclear industry news, downloading catching pictures of nuclear facilities, getting familiar with locales of ROSATOM’s leading sites.

The application will enable you to get detail and confident information on the radiation situation in different regions of Russia: ARMS (automated radiation monitoring system) detectors, which measure radiation levels at nuclear power plants and reprocessing facilities in Russia, transmit data on-line. Now you can learn about any changes in the radiation situation just by opening your cell phone.

In addition, an interactive map enables you viewing all N-plants of the world and getting detail information about them in real time (operator, designer and location of the plant, year of commissioning, types and number of reactors, planned year of decommissioning etc.).
