OREANDA-NEWS. May 31, 2012. The largest Ukrainian bank PrivatBank and Visa - the official partner of FIFA, presented in Ukraine "Financial Soccer", a new educational computer game which is a part of Visa's global initiative to enhance financial literacy of young people all over the world. This dynamic and exciting game acquaints Ukrainians with basics of financial literacy and teaches responsible approach to managing personal budget. Alfred Nobel University (Dnepropetrovsk) became a partner in promoting the project in Ukraine.

"Financial Football" combines a popular sport, football, with Visa's cutting-edge developments in financial education of population. The game allows determining the player’s knowledge level in personal finance management as the player moves to the rival’s gates to score a goal. Players answer questions choosing the correct answer from several alternatives and can compete with any international football team on a virtual field of the FIFA World Cup.

The "Financial Football" provides three levels of difficulty - for seniors, students, and adult audience. Among the issues: managing your personal budget, skilful usage of a loan and other banking services. The game also gives opportunities for self-study. With the help of four training modules the player can learn why savings are necessary, how to plan a budget, what it means being creditworthy and how to choose a credit card. Each module contains exercises and tests to check the knowledge obtained.
