OREANDA-NEWS. May 31, 2012. Five projects by ProfMedia Broadcasting Corporation (PMBC) won the National Prize of Radiomania 2012.

The awards gala ceremony for Radiomania 2012 took place in Moscow on May 17, at Expocentre at Krasnaya Presnya as part of the Days of Infocommunications and the Sviaz-Expocomm-2012 exhibition.

Radiomania was founded by the Russian Ministry of Communications and Mass Media, and the Russian Non-Government Organization of Mass Media Workers MediaSoyuz. The prize goes back to 2002 and has gained the status of the main professional award within the Russian radio community.

This year the ceremony was opened by Sergey Zheleznyak, Duma chairman for informational policy, and Elena Zelinskaya, MediaSoyuz vice president.

Avtoradio won in three categories. In ‘Radio Station Promotion/Concept’, its project Stroyotryad Avtoradio was recognized the best, in ‘Radio Game’ category, its extreme super-game Terem-OK won, and in the ‘Morning show’ category the award went to its show Murzilki Live.

The Radiomania 2012 jury also looked favourably at Radio ENERGY. It won in ‘Radio Station Promotion/Event’, with its ENERGY in the MOUNTAIN event.

Another winner of Radiomania 2012 was Humor FM. It won in the ‘Comic Program’ category with its radio series Year of the Dragon.

There were a total of 226 entries from 44 cities across the country. More than 100 radio stations took part, competing in 22 categories.

Winners of the 11th annual Radiomania National Awards were congratulated by Andrei Romanchenko, RTRS general director and president of the Russian Academy of Radio, leaders of the largest media holdings, managers of Russia’s leading radio stations, and famous radio presenters and journalists.
