OREANDA-NEWS. May 31, 2012. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova Vladimir Filat, who arrived in the Turkmen capital to take part in the meeting of the Council of the CIS Heads of Government.

During the meeting the Turkmen leader and his guest discussed the prospects for enhancing mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation, including in the trading and economic sphere. The parties called for the necessity of establishing the Turkmen-Moldavian Intergovernmental commission, which work would attach the dynamic and business character to the bilateral partnership. In particular, it concerns the prospects on participating young Moldavian partners in implementing the large-scale projects in the fuel and energy sector, the sphere of transport as well as the projects on developing the Avaza national tourism zone in Turkmenistan. Among the priority vectors for further developing the Turkmen-Moldavian relations, the parties defined the cultural and humanitarian sphere, sports and tourism.
