OREANDA-NEWS. June 1, 2012. ProfMedia Broadcasting Corporation’s (PMBC) leading station Avtoradio has won a Radiomania 2012 prize.

All Avtoradio projects entered into the competition received praise from the professional jury.

In the Morning Show category, the prize went to Murzilki Live, whose presenters Bragin, Gordeeva, and Zakhar marked their 10th anniversary with a grand live radio marathon in autumn 2011.

The best Radio Game on the Russian airwaves was the super-game Terem-OK. For two weeks, Avtoradio listeners, as well as their relatives, friends, and beloved household pets tested the size of a city SUV. The bravest and funniest players drove off home in a HYUNDAI ix35.

In the “Radio Station Promotion/Concept’ category, the main Radiomania bronze microphone prize went to Stroyotryad Avtoradio. In summer 2011, this project saw listeners in Sochi, the capital of the future winter Olympic Games, where they took part in one of the country’s biggest construction projects. The brigade members numbered more than 100 listeners from various regions of the country, and Prime Minister Putin attended the opening launch of the Stroyotryad Avtoradio project.

This year there were awards in 22 categories. A total of 226 entries were submitted for the competition from more than 100 radio stations in 44 cities.

The awards gala ceremony for Radiomania 2012 took place in Moscow on May 17, at Expocentre at Krasnaya Presnya as part of the Days of Infocommunications and the Sviaz-Expocomm-2012 exhibition.

Guests of the award ceremony congratulating the winners of the 11th Radiomania National Prize included Sergey Zheleznyak, Duma chairman for informational policy, Andrey Romanchenko, RTRS general director and president of the Russian Academy of Radio, Elena Zelinskaya, MediaSoyuz vice president, and other leaders of the largest media holdings, managers of Russia’s leading radio stations, famous radio presenters and journalists.
