OREANDA-NEWS. June 1, 2012. PT Pertamina (Persero) inaugurated a special fuel station (SPBBK) in the East Java-Balinus as a form of commitment to continue to meet the public need for high quality fuels, as well as a support for government policy in controlling the consumption of subsidized fuel. The SPBBK 54.801.46 at Jl. Raya Sesetan 315, Denpasar, is the first SPBBK operating at East Java-Balinus marketing region.

The inauguration of SPBBK 54.801.46 was performed in person by the Direktor of Marketing and Trading of PT Pertamina (Persero) Hanung Budya Yuktyanta. SPBBK is the fuel station that sells only Pertamax products, Economic Solar fuel, and Pertamina Dex. As the fuels on sale are the non-subsidized fuels, Pertamina will directly monitor the quality, measurement, and service of the fuels to customers.

"We will provide special attention to the service in this SPBBK so that our Pertamax customers will get better service, so that customers will have such pleasant experience during refueling at Pertamina's SPBBK," Hanung said.

So far, there are 623 fuel stations that exclusively sell non-subsidized BBK or BBM, or around 56% of total 1121 fuel stations located in East Java-Balinus region. Meanwhile, if only counting Bali region, there are 87 fuel stations serving Pertamax products, or  as many as 50% from a total of 178 fuel stations in Bali region.

The average distribution level of BBK in Bali region is as much as 19 kiloliter/day, meanwhile the distribution level of Premium is 2,300 KL/day. It means the distribution of BBK is less than 0.9% of subsidized fuels (including Premium). It is hoped that the operation of SPBBK 54.801.46 will be able to provide convenience to the public in fulfilling their demand for fuels, particularly BBK products such as Pertamax, Pertamax Plus and Pertamax Dex.

Nation-wide, Pertamina has had 22 SPBU that exclusively sell non-subsidized fuel products. These stations spread in three areas, namely Jakarta (4 SPBUs for Pertamax products), Kalimantan marketing region (17 SPBUs for non-subsidized diesel fuel), and Bali (1 SPBU for Pertamax and economical diesel fuels).
