OREANDA-NEWS. June 01, 2012. In June 2012, Arkhenergo branch of IDGC of the North-West, JSC will commence works for reconstruction of Arkhangelsk distribution grids to enhance their reliability.

In June 2012, Arkhenergo branch of IDGC of the North-West, JSC will commence works for reconstruction of Arkhangelsk distribution grids to enhance their reliability. The project is included in 2012 investment program, its cost amounting to 57 mln RUR.

The new lines will stretch by more than 3.5 km and encompass densely built-over districts of the city including Lomonosov Prospect, Svobody Street, Volodarsky Street and Troitsky Prospect. Construction of new cable lines will ensure reliable power supply due to greater throughput capacity of the new equipment. Within the framework of the program for Arkhangelsk power feeder centers backup the branch will also undertake reconstruction of RP-21 and RP-20 distribution stations.

Another project for Arkhangelsk distribution grids reconstruction for power feeder centers backup envisages construction of a new Distribution Station No. 30 in Karl Liebknecht Street and its connection to the electric power grids. The project, to be executed in two stages, is scheduled for 2012 2013. The first stage will commence this year and envisages a new distribution station installation. Next year power industry specialists will construct a 10 kV cable line from Substation No. 1 to RP-30 distribution station.
